Alexander Zverev will replace Jannik Sinner as the ATP men’s world number one at his earliest opportunity following his quarter-final appearance in Vienna. The shift in rankings comes after a successful week on court, where Zverev secured his place among the final eight competitors in the Austrian tournament. Sinner, who had held the top position, will now drop down the rankings as a result of this change.
The new world number one ranking reflects Zveriv’s consistent performances and his ability to compete at the highest level. Rankings are updated based on results from tournaments over the previous 52 weeks. Reaching the quarter-finals in Vienna added enough points to Zverev’s total to push him ahead of Sinner in the overall standings.
