Editorial Standards
Our editorial principles, accuracy and accountability standards
SourceRated is an AI-assisted news intelligence platform. We summarise and analyse public reporting, attach a transparent credibility assessment to each story, and cite the sources behind it. These standards explain how we work and how we hold ourselves accountable.
Transparency about AI
Our articles are drafted by AI from publicly available reporting. Every article carries an editorial-transparency note identifying that it was AI-generated. We never present AI output as original human eyewitness reporting.
Sourcing and attribution
- We attribute statements only to sources actually present in the underlying reporting. We do not fabricate quotes, officials, or institutional attributions.
- Each story links to the original source it was built from, plus additional cited coverage where available.
- Credibility scores and source assessments are produced by AI and are decision-support signals — not a substitute for independent human fact-checking.
Accuracy and corrections
We correct errors promptly and transparently. See our Corrections Policy.
Independence
Editorial decisions are not influenced by advertisers. Advertising and affiliate links, where present, are clearly delivered as ads and do not affect credibility scoring.
Methodology
