YEREVAN—The Chief of Staff to Armenia’s Prime Minister held talks with the European Union’s Ambassador to Armenia on Monday, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation in political, economic, and security spheres. The meeting comes as Yerevan seeks to balance its traditional alliances with new strategic partnerships amid shifting geopolitical dynamics in the South Caucasus.
According to sources familiar with the discussions, the dialogue covered Armenia’s ongoing reforms to align with EU standards, potential investment opportunities, and regional security challenges. Analysts note the timing is significant, following Armenia’s recent diplomatic overtures toward Western institutions while maintaining its membership in Russia-led alliances like the CSTO.
